For the 43rd chapter of the ECLYPSE INVITES Podcast series we are featuring an emerging DJ from Japan. We truly recommend you keep an eye on the Japanese techno scene because it’s rich in interesting profiles that will rock your world with their music.
Today’s set comes with a clash between ——-
ECLYSE: What is your name, age, and where are you from?
I’m Amane 23 years old I’m from Japan but I’m currently based in London

ECLYPSE: Why “Amane”?
Amane is my real name and it is also the name I use for my modeling job. Since I really like it I decided to keep it for my musical identity too
ECLYPSE: What inspired you to DJ and when did you start?
The reason why I started to DJ is because of the label called VIXLATIXN. The first time I attended one of their events in Tokyo it simply blew my mind…
I come from a completely different world as I grew up listening to rock music, heavy metal, shoegaze, new weave, goth and punk. Around 2022 when I first went to this VIXLATIXN, I couldn’t be defined as techno lover or appreciator, I didn’t even know the difference between its genres. But that experience changed something in me, I was surprised and impressed to find such a cool sounding techno. At the same time I didn’t feel to far from my comfort zone as industrial techno and metal share that dark/violent component. Yeah, I think the new captivating sound and the connection with my musical roots are the reason why I fell in love with this genre
ECLYPSE: Who are the Producers and DJs you are looking the most up to?
There are so many artists that I appreciate so I can’t list them all. If I had to pick one I would say EVE.
Also, among the Tokyo-based artists you should definitely keep an eye on tsunami sound system, Type-O Risk and Taiyo. Finally, a special mention goes to PäNGLØSS!!!
ECLYPSE: What are your expectations for 2025? Did you set any goals?
I’ve just moved to London so this is all new to me. I would love to play in Europe as much as I can. I believe I can destroye people with my sound.
The most important thing for my 2025 is being able to represent the bridge between Japan and the rest of the world. I want to play my Japanese’s friends music, not only with the goal of promoting them but mainly because their creations are really cool
ECLYPSE: Do you think Techno as a genre has evolved in the past years?
Yes it has changed, unfortunately in a way I don’t like. Most of it has become mainstream, it has morphed into something that can appeal to everybody. Sure, it could be nice in some ways such as connecting people but there’s nothing worse than being at a techno party and seeing who are there for the status and not for dancing
ECLYPSE: How is your local DJ scene?
I think I haven’t been to enough techno events in London for me to formulate a proper opinion, but it’s safe to say that nothing has stood out to me so far. On the other hand, if we talk exclusively about industrial techno, then there’s one event that offers really good music and fun every time: shoutout to EGØ DEÅTH!!
Also one thing I will say is that there are a lot of cool artists that I’ve befriended and got to know and experience in London that are outside of the techno scene
As for what I lived in Japan, I think the techno scene in Tokyo has been consistently growing and it is currently very strong in terms of aesthetics, style and global recognition.
There are many Japanese electronic artists ranging from small/local to bigger names who are living and playing in all parts of the world. As a young, growing and avid artist from Japan I can feel as well as see the influence that Tokyo is having on the rest of the world from entertainment, fashion, music to overall general cultural aspects
Thank you so much for accepting ECLYPSE’s invite, we are looking forward to promoting your music in the future on our label, we are honored to have you here!
