For the 41st chapter of the ECLYPSE INVITES Podcast series we are back to our beloved Hungarian techno scene with a very young artist whose life has always been influenced by music of all kinds.
Despite the age he has showed what he’s capable of doing, delivering hard hitting tracks over over the last months.
Welcome KEX0!

ECLYPSE: What is your name, age, and where are you from?

I’m KEX0, I’m 18 years old and I’m from Budapest, Hungary

Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest

ECLYPSE: Why “KEX0”?

KEX0 comes from my government name I tought it was cool and decided it would be a cool artist name

ECLYPSE: What inspired you to produce and DJ and when did you start?Β

My first inspiration in general came when I was attending I music school. I first started with playing instruments but later on I felt the need to make my own music and put what I had learnt over the years into use. In addition to that, I’ve always loved listening to music at all times so I wanted to challenge myself and my new knowledge.

My first experience with production happened in 2019, at the time I was only 12 and my focus was mainly on producing experimental genres such as trapmetal or supertrap. I moved on from that style quickly and after a break I got close to hard techno, industrial techno and bochka.

When I was 16 years old a friend of mine suggested we started DJing and that was enough to convince me. I took one more step to embrace techno and shortly after that we created a collective called MASZEKK

ECLYPSE: What is the meaning behind your music?

There isn’t a precise meaning behind my music. I give people the freedom to elaborate my sound in their own way as they listen to it.
My main inspiration is my current mental state and the ideas it develops before I start making a track

ECLYPSE: Who are the Producers and DJs you are looking the most up to?

The people that inspire me the most are my friends and the artists I make music with such as Amtris, Harangi and Kaotic

ECLYPSE: What are your expectations for 2025?

I plan on creating a lot more quality tracks and hopefully to play in various gigs

ECLYPSE: Do you think Techno as a genre has evolved in the past years?

It clearly has. Nowadays people have access to all the tools necessary to make music and that allows us to play more with our creativity. For this reason techno is constantly evolving

ECLYPSE: How is your local DJ scene?

My local dj scene is pretty good, I live it as a big family where even if we dont know eachother that well we aknowledge everyone and respect them as the artists they are

Thank you so much for accepting ECLYPSE’s invite, we are looking forward to promoting your music in the future on our label, we are honored to have you here!
