The 18th artist to join the ELCYPSE INVITES podcast series is a young Hungarian guy that goes by the name erhardy.
Sit back and have a sneak peek at his artistic life!
ECLYPSE: What is your name, age, and where are you from?
Hi everyone, my name is Erik im 21 and im from Budapest, Hungary

ECLYPSE: What inspired you to mix and when did you start?
Before moving to Budapest I really liked techno music, so much so I even had my own controller but I had never given it a go seriously. It was after I moved here that it all started. I had the chance to meet a lot of artists and their help and support pushed me to join this world
ECLYPSE: Who are the Producers and DJs you are looking the most up to?
Basically everyone in my friendgroup, to be more precise I am talking about MXRC, RE:VISION and NOBLESSE for music production and RE:VISION, MXRC, Oblivion, NOBLESSE, Sulfide and Sleg for DJing.
On the other hand, if I had to mention some foreigner I would say MenaceAnnihalition, Walter and Sorenga
ECLYPSE: Do you think Techno as a genre has evolved in the past years?
It has surely changed a lot, both in a good and in a bad way. In my opinion, techno itself worsened a lot. Everyone is obviously free to listen to what they prefer, I just don’t like the current trend where there are lots of pop hits mashups, and bouncy trance melodies you often find in mainstream music.
As for my genre, industrial techno, I think it has improved a lot in terms of quality and visibility so I’m happy about that.
ECLYPSE: How is your local DJ scene?
The DJ scene is very rich, its main interpreters are mostly the guys I mentioned in the third answer, who also happen to own one of the hardest labels here in Hungary: Overdose.
Sadly, a lot of big clubs are being shut down and the mainstream style is taking over the bochka scene but overall the techno community is really strong.
ECLYPSE: Could you describe your set for us and our listeners? What was the inspiration behind it?
I built my set using strong and dynamic industrial tracks. All of them are a selection of my favourite artists’ work.
Thank you so much for accepting ECLYPSE’s invite, we are looking forward to promoting your music in the future on our label, we are honored to have you here!
