I want to welcome Valentas, also known as MenaceAnnihilation to our ECLYPSE Podcast series.

As we always ask some questions about the artist that is featured on our series, here is a special interview that we did with him, which contains personal and music related information as well.

ECLYPSE: What is your name, age and where are you from?

My name is Valentas and I am 25 years old. I was born in a small seaside city in Palanga, Lithuania.

ECLYPSE: What inspired you to produce and when did you start? 

I got inspired by music from a young age, always had a deep emotional connection to it.

First my mom took me to music school. There I learned to play accordion and piano.

But at that time all my focus was on rollerblading at the skatepark so i did not put all my focus to it. 

Everything changed when I went to study in Lithuania capital Vilnius where I got introduced to techno music which I fell in love with.

I was suggested by my friends that were DJ/producers to try that so i downloaded FL studio but never took it seriously.

About two years ago I started to DJ and committed to learning to produce music. I was lucky enough to get feedback from my favorite label 96NOISIA what motivated me all this time.

ECLYPSE: Who are the Producers and DJs you are looking the most up to? 

Truly a lot DRAAG, CEKTA and EMBALMER!

ECLYPSE: What are your expectations for 2024?

No expectations, just living in the moment.

ECLYPSE: Do you think Techno as a genre has evolved in the past years?

Yes, it has evolved a lot in a good way, and in a bad way as well. But good music never disappears. You just have to search for it.

ECLYPSE: How is your local DJ scene in Lithuania?

The electronic music scene in Lithuania is pretty big compared to how small the country it is. Sadly for my genre it is a complete desert here.
