Our first invite goes to the well known Industrial Techno artist from Tokyo, JAPAN.

I have asked him a few questions with the idea of showcasing him as an artist for ECLYPSE.

ECLYPSE: Hey, could you please tell us your current city and country, age, and a small introduction about yourself?

I created a hardcore band when I was 18 was the start of my music career. And I have always loved retro games and chip tune music. Then I found out about Techno through a recommendation from a local record store.

I also started DJing when I was 25. At that time, I preferred Detroit Techno and Deep House. When I was in my late 30s, my band broke up. After my band broke up, my passion for hardcore punk started to project itself into my DJ style. That’s when I started playing hard techno as a DJ.

Now I am pursuing my own style, influenced by underground hard techno artists from all over the world.

ECLYPSE: Could you describe your local Industrial scene for us?

As you know, Japan is an island nation. The problem is that there are few opportunities to physically communicate with other countries.

Unfortunately, few people in Japan seem to have a particular preference for hard Industrial Techno compared to other countries.

Therefore, there are really few parties in Japan where only hard industrial techno is played all night long.

So now we work with pure Hardcore, Gabber and other genres DJs to grow the scene.

So I started running my own podcast to build bridges between Japan and the rest of the world.

ECLYPSE: Could you give us a brief description of your set?

The hard part of my DJ set is heavily influenced by hardcore punk.

And what I always want to express in my dj sets is a pure extraction and faithful sonic depiction of my spiritual world.

So my DJ sets can often feel out of place in a musical context.

But that is because I am projecting my roller coaster-like state of mind onto the music.
